Re: Creative Interpretations - Pussy Cat

I had to try this one. I've been too busy to "play" for several months but decided that I had to make time- to preserve some sanity.

I'm allergic to cats, Steve. Didn't you hear me sneezing when I posted it? LOL

Glad this one works for you. Simple steps. First I sharpen til it hurts. I then run GREYCstoration (a GIMP filter) for the fake smudge step. I did some other enhancements too (played with ACE (another GIMP filter) blending and such, but the main effect was the Sharpen/GREYC step. You should be able to substitute Anisotrophic (in PS that is) for GREYCstoration to get a similar effect. Also, I isolated the eyes from the filtering and did separate enhancements for them.

edit:
Forgot to add that I also used GIMP's Dilate filter (in a blend) followed by sharpening to get the wide line whiskers. Sorry for the oversite.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Pussy Cat

My cat wouldn't come in last night, and I couldn't go to bed without knowing she was okay. Eventually she returned at 3.30am in the morning. I'm not too keen on kitties at the moment.

Texture from TextureKing.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Pussy Cat

Thank you Lyle, the eyes came like this accidently, because of the tutorial I was following. There was a dog as an example. Cats, they have different eyes…but…whatever… it an art isn’t it? I can change the nature
Palms, you are right... I’m already hooked, and my restoration work was pushed aside….and the other things I have to do and promised to do.
Many thanks to Palms and Swampy for your tutorials as they are very informative and easy to follow

Re: Creative Interpretations - Pussy Cat

I'm a cat person, and couldn't resist.

I really like Canna's and Krystyna's versions (I hope I spelled your names right).

For mine, it's mostly paint engine.

Enjoy,
Jeff
