Hi Christine,
When are we going to see some of your landscapes from that beautiful part of the world.
Barry.

Hi Barry, yes… right, it was you asking for my landscapes;
Hmmm..To tell the truth I prefer taking close-ups form landscapes
If you like you can have a look at my photobucket temporary gallery (storage)
The pictures are not in order, but maybe you would like some of them.
Mostly there are recent pictures,
Enjoy

Christine

Sketching again. A blend of ACE, GIMPressionist (Graphite 2 preset), Xero's Artworks filter and applied Fibrous paper texture.

Palms1, do you have a brush you use for your AH work? Your work is inspiring and worth learning from.

Hi Christine,
Just had a look at your photo's, very nice work. You certainly have a variety of subjects to work with, lucky you.

Barry.

Hello Lyle,
Nice sketch, you certainly seem to get the best out of Gimp, might download it and give it a whirl.

Re: Photo's I promised Palms1

I do really appreciate the comments Barry. When you were a broke bloke like me (before I decided to splurge on CS2 that is; still broke though; lol), all I had was GIMP and a lot of time to create with it. It's still my favorite editor though it won't do everything that I want so I still use other stand-a-lone programs and definitely CS2 as well.

Hi Issy,

Very nice work, just one question. How did you achieve that result?

Barry.

Re: Photo's I promised Palms1

Thnx Barry
photoshop..2 or three layers.Impressionist default charcoal setting on one layer-select image colour and experiment with brush and coverage setting..Next layer use Impressionist-natural-particle board-brush and coverage variations. Then some opacity blending, shifting the layers around and trying different effects, saturation boosting, some blurring.layer masks with a lowered opacity to bring some definition through from the unchanged background layer then adding texture.I never know how its going to end up.sometimes it works sometimes not..
Here is another variation.
Cheers
