Re: Creative interpretations-Local Taxi

Love this one -- in PS, lightened just a tad to bring out some details then used Topaz Adjust to finish.

Hmmm, looks "soft" and not sharp uploaded here but file is tack sharp. Am I doing something wrong in the uploading?? Thanks.

sometimes this happens, it is due mainly to having to reduce the file right down, but as way round this is to put a link to a bigger file size, ( links do die, but the smaller image stays around for almost ever )

here are my first play's, please tell me what you think.

One is a line art from Swampy's tut's and one is using topez-adjust-psychedelic from Amica.

Thanks for all your help.

Re: Creative interpretations-Local Taxi

Hi Amica,
Thanks for the compliment , I've got to tell you, for the life of me I can't replicate how you did your photo. I've downloaded all the topaz + redfield plugins, and just can't seem to get my brain into gear on this one.(drat) Thats why I used the 'psyco' filter it suited the frame of mind I was in at the time. :}:}

Thanks for your help again, I'm having a lot of fun doing this.(posted a few plays on palms post today as well)

Have a nice day,
Barry.

Re: Creative interpretations-Local Taxi

:-) Know what you mean...I have asked a lot of people how they worked on specific pieces and couldn't replicate the workflow. On Vivacity you have a couple of options when you click the filter Clean; DJpeg etc....choose Sharpen, than leave the main slider alone for the moment, use advance and play with the iteration slider (max it out) than fool aorung with the line accent. finally go to the main slider and fool around there...

On the Redfield++ Bas Relief used the drop down menue (there is only 1) and choose Bas Relief (maybe you want to play with the sliders as well) and click okay. Set this layer to blend mode of soft light/overlay etc....

Hope that helps some

My first post

Don't know if this falls into the "Creative" category or not? Maybe Retro-Creative?

What I'm going for is to make the picture look like it was taken in the 1800s and then has been neglected, abused and unprotected for many years resulting in fading, cracking, spotting and even some coffee stains.

Thanks for any comments.

LOL! Do you know how many people pay a fortune to have old photos looking like this restored to "like new"? Great job!
