| | | Re: creative interpretations--feathered friend Barry, I didn't do much to the colors, they were already there :-) I adjusted the pic in RAW fixing the exposure and the vibrance a little, after that in PS I ran an action I wrote (which works nicely on pastel flowers, not so good on this one, so I tweaked the blending options) ran 2x Topaz Sharpen (masked the bird) some curve adj. and played with the BG... |

| | | Re: creative interpretations--feathered friend Lyle, this looks like one of my circuit boards, I'm looking for a spot to solder a capacitor in.
Joe, very nice effort, I like the way you've created the artificial timber grain.

| | | Re: creative interpretations--feathered friend I'm very familiar with circuit boards too Barry. As a side note, for some reason, RP converted the original Hi-Rez image, even though it meet Byte size specs, to a jpeg. Weird. Anyway, here's the original PNG file (full rez). |

I was going to say using Photoshop but thought that was too flippant, so I won't.
The bird was a smudge using one of Trimoons presets. The BG is a variation on an abstract action that Palms posted a while back, then smudged with a larger brush,
Then the colour saturation was boosted slightly.
There was a Bas relief layer there as well for the perch (no not a fish - the post)
