Re: Holiday snaps

Bore? I seriously don't think so. Very, very nice photos. They will be a joy for the painters among us to turn into art.

You did some nice work here lady Palms.

Oily boat. :)

I know it's probably time for another binge, but FB's brushes have kept me on this theme of late.

Re: Holiday snaps

palms, thanks for the pics and i like your rendition. in fact, i liked it so much that that's pretty much how mine was looking (before i took another look at everyone's). so, i had to come up with something else

peter, love your beach!

and steve, has a near van gogh look. nice

and lyle, i like yours, but what if you cropped it tighter?

Re: Holiday snaps

I want to go on Holiday now!

Palms you do such fine sky work.. it blends so well and turned a dreary scene into a beautiful day and the 'estuary' watercolor is sublime

Steve you really brought your Picnic scene to life.. beautiful work! and your Fisherman is definitely Vincent like!

Lyle for some reason I keep seeing a cartoonish guy in a blue hat looking through a telescope out the back of the boat.. was that on purpose?

Craig the water color and jutting rocks are like what I remember from long ago in a far off distant land.. nice work!

Barry that is an interesting effect for sure! Nice!

Hmmm, Looks like the fisherman left a note for Palms!

Re: Holiday snaps

thanks, palms

what i wondered was why was he up on the rock and not down on the beach. just seemed like it might be a bit safer and be able to reach the water better.

and thanks, OB

i like yours, too. it's clean and sharp, but retains the moodiness. nice job

Many Thanks!

Some photos just seem to be made for digital art, these are two good examples of that kind of photo.
