Re: Autumn Barn

Shari - thanks for, um, sharin'.
This is one of a couple of versions I did using the Pattern Stamp tool. I tossed a mental coin to decide which one to upload and this one won.
Nice work, everybody.

Re: Autumn Barn

Olbaldy-I'm sure glad you made a picture of our neighbor's ex-barn. It was a pretty nice barn in it's day, but not much left now. The picture frames will just rot away like the rest of it, I'm sure. A lot of barns in our area seem to be sharing the same fate. No one wants to bother with the upkeep, I guess. How did you do the very interesting texture?

dc- That's a wonderful rendition. I haven't even attempted to use the pattern stamp yet. You're welcome about my sharin'. I'd kind of like to change my screen name. It seems more like I'm stealin ideas instead of sharin them.
Shari

Re: Autumn Barn

There was a time in my younger days when I made loads of custom picture frames from old barn wood.. wood free ... frame very expensive.. the wood puts out a unique odor when sawed if there were animals in the barn and the wood got soaked but odorless on the wall.. (unless it is in a hot and humid place.. LOL ).. (just kidding,.. the wood sealer locks in those annoying odors) and as far as I know none have rotted away yet..

The 'texture' is actually a brush stroke from Impressionist. I traded the brush used in Fluff Oil Paint>Oil Palette Knife FB, brush, wavbrsh1a.tif with brush, DJRpnclA.tif.
I was experimenting with Danny Raphaels' Impressionist lessons and tips from here and here where everything I used can be found
