Re: Baby Pic I thank YOU for the play. @Peter: simply lovely. I like that one a lot. Very well done and yes, you interpreted the between lines very well, that babe (Dionisia is her name) will soon get 29 :-) @Lyle: nice effect, but I am not sure if I like that on portraits so much. @OlBaldy: interesting crop and smooth finish, nicely done. @Craig: nicely done and thanks for the comment

Re: Baby Pic Thank you Gilbert and Palms for playing, too. @ Gilbert, great painting, especially well done in choosing the colors and a prime job on that fuzzy hair. @ Palms, hard to see, is it AHB? Very well done, whatever you chose :-)

Reflections in tinfoil. Haven't done one of these in a little while. Also, I agree that I need to figure out to milk out more realistic details concerning the signature collage version.

Re: Baby Pic Thank you too for playing, Steve. Nice sharp look. @Lyle, that sure looks grungy :-) I guess I owe you all a personal version. Reason for the delay is that I've tried to smudge and failed miserably :-) Now I came up with a version that is somewhat presentable, but still struggling on hair, though. Maybe some of you Smudge-cracks have some advise?

Amica firstly that is a great smudge, and they do take time,I think most smudgers struggle with hair and eyes and there is not set rules which i know is annoying but just think of all the different hair colours and styles and you begin to understand the Dry brush tip light flow from the standard ps set set at about 50%. When fininished run the dodge/ burn tool over the hair to add a bit dimension to it. and of course the dreaded word "practice" Palms |

Re: Baby Pic Yeah, nothing special here. Tried a couple of things that I didn't like, so just gave it a retouched kind of look. THNX.... Steve C.

Re: Baby Pic one tip on smudging hair, amica, i use a 'rake' brush. yeah, funny name but it works. you basically 'rake' the hair, just like raking a garden or your leaves. just align the 'rake' as if combing the hair and push/pull/paint. the rake brush would look something like this: . . . . . . or, in words, a spot, space, spot, space, spot, space and so on. you can make the spots large or small, opaque, semi-opaque or almost translucent for whatever effect you're after. and, without much tweaking, it can make a decent eyebrow brush, also.
