Creative Interpretations - A Winter's Day

Well, I know very little about snow, but here's a pretty winter scene to paint that is kind of different.

A little PST, a little Art History and History brushes. Just throw the kitchen sink at it. LOL

Beautiful interpretation Swampy. I'd love to have snow for few days.

Looks a bit too cold for me, and I know all I want to know about snow too.

Well it's -35 C with the wind chill here in Sudbury right now so that picture looks like summer to me.

Re: Creative Interpretations - A Winter's Day

Hey Joe; I was in Sudbury in 1995 for a business PR trip (worked for Schlumberger then; they had an issue with our meters and it turned out to be a wiring error on their part (installers couldn't follow instructions); made us look good. lol). It was late Summer when I was there so the temperature was fine then (missed the leaf changing by about 2 weeks according to my contacts there; very disappointed I was). Anyway, I was there for 4 days and it took over two weeks for me to stop saying Ahhy. lol

I actually know where this picture was taken, knew even before I looked at the image title. Now that's a first for me. Of course, I did grow up there .

Nice picture for a play. Thanks for sharing Swampy.

A friend of mine had her American boyfriend from Ohio move up here for a year. We had him drinking beer and swearing like a real Canadian in no time flat. They moved to North Carolina and everyone down there thought he was a Canadian because of his new accent and the way he always said eh at the end of his sentences. He moved to Florida a year later and they thought he was Canadian too. It's a good thing Lyle you were only here for a short time eh!

Re: Creative Interpretations - A Winter's Day

I think I remember a sketch buried somewhere under all the layers... maybe the snow covered it up!

I'm cold now, got to get some Hot Chocolate!
