Re: The Pool Man Really been enjoying your sketches Peter. Don't recall this particular paper before though. Do you have a link to the seamless texture by chance?

Guess I should play too. :) Working on a new sketch technique. Neon Edge Detect, followed by DCSpecial's ICE4 filter. Invert result and run GREYCstoration on that result. Blend in GIMPressionist with Graphite2 preset and copy original to Top layer set to Burn and voila.

Re: The Pool Man Wasn't quite the same texture Peter. I took a sliver of your texture and created this resulting seamless texture. Just sharing.

Re: The Pool Man Just dropped in to say "Hello". I don't have my "arty" tools around so I just used PS basics - Cut-out and Note-paper. Nice work folks, and thanks to Peter for finding us a great image to play with. Rô

Re: The Pool Man good pic, peter and even a better sketch rendition. and lyle, i love the freehand, abstract sketch. and swampy, i can almost see the watercolors sitting next to you on this one. very nice. and palms, a lovely 'essence' type. and alan, also some great work with ahb. i'm gonna have to look at that some day... some day. and byRo, good to see you around again! very cool rendition. not real crazy about the grainy look, but love the overall concept!

Re: The Pool Man OK... you got me too. I envisioned 'hunky' pool guy! Sure like your sketch method, Peter. - - - - - - This interpretation is loosely based on Richard Ramsey's method. (In his video he demonstrates a foundational technique from which other creative workflows can sprout.) I wrestled with the partial color; decided to go with it...
