I found your creation a little out of focus and flat. Other than that, the overall concept is great.

What could I do to prevent the 'flat' part. I think the out of focus was due to me processing it as a painting - if it wasn't let me know.

I want to understand the 'flat' part though.

After a second look I guess 'flatness' is not a good term. Sameness might be more appropriate. The doll house is too close in color value to the field and just kind of gets lost. I did a Hue Saturation adjustment on a selection of the doll house then cleaned up the mask a little just to make it stand out.
