Snow Leopard

Something to play with from http://www.sxc.hu/photo/772998
I kind of overdid the fur on this one but I like it.

Re: Snow Leopard

You are right Joe fractalius does some cool things with hair and fur. like you i think it might be a bit much but i also like it

not sure if he still looks like a snow leopard (bit dark )
added another version after messing around with it

Re: Snow Leopard

Hi Joe,

Nice photo!
For retouching I prefer a more natural approach:

Have fun!

Re: Snow Leopard

Thanks for sharing, Joe. Your fractalus application maybe a bit overboard, but I like it too
Palms, even though a bit dark, I like your first a little better than the second. Really nice.
Lyle, that is a very artsy effect, like that, very well done.
Swampy, nice soft look, lovely.
I gave it a quick try with some sketch and Vivacity and color tweaks. Not much time, have to test my new screen

Re: Snow Leopard

Joe I think your kat has been walking around on the rug in my house and is discharging all the static electricity it collected.. we have had some shocking events around here lately

Impressionist Water Color (sort of)

My dog is getting jealous.. I've been playing with this Feline to much!

Added a pencil sketch

Re: Snow Leopard

OB... I like the second one. It's more in keeping with the colors of a snow leopard.

Re: Snow Leopard

An attempt at an ice sculpture. Just don't ask (way too complicated for me to explain being lazy as I am; lol) and just to add that it took over 45 minutes (don't think it will take that long if I ever do another one now that I know sort of how to approach it). Just hope it comes close to being alright.

Re: Snow Leopard

OK; the trick is that I used some mother of perl textures that I created here. The how is more complicated though. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm surprised by how many people replied to this thread. I think the guy that took this picture would be very happy with what you've all done with it. Great job everyone.
