Horse

Been playing with Artrage tonight, but I am certainly not so sure about the outcome Took it to PS to do some tweaking, but not much.

Craig, if you see this, I'd like to come back to your offer about some tips with this little proggie. Would be appreciated. Have extreme problems with highlights and shadows - as you can see

Right after posting I see that the shadow which was just a hint is much too strong, sorry

Re: Horse

Wow. Very interesting technique! Almost looks like you painted on suede, silk, or velvet.

Re: Horse

Nice technique, amica999. That's a beautiful animal. I thought I'd try a watercolor with the AHB on it.

Re: Horse

Awww.... Cute! Thanks for the play, Amica

Duped and desaturated a copy of the background. Used a turquoise color fill, pixelated and blured saved as a pattern.

Color correction on the colt to remove the green overcast. Loose selection mask, Dry Brush filter (faded), saved as a pattern.

Spatter brush for PST on the background with impressionist turned ON. Painted another layer of the colt. Added texture to background.

Crop and frame.

LOL; seen plenty of oils/watercolors/illustrations, but I've yet to see a Post-IT, so I said to myself, why not?

C'mon, don't be shy, there is no reason to. As you can see I am posting my "humble tries" here and nobody is laughing, I started with PS AND Photography mid 2007 and thanks to this place and it's really nice and helpful "residents" I have learned a lot, still seeking the new, though, and try to improve

Re: Horse

Nice renditions all around. I used PE to simplify and then Impressionist for the paint effect.

Some lovely renditions here!
Like especially the muted colors Joeven produced and the "colorsplashes" in CJs rendition
