lyle, what is vector simplification? (and i like that)

Use Autotrace on a reduced size of the image and then port the result SVG scaled to the original size and blended as needed. That's vector simplication in a nut shell. Below's the script that I use. Just create a shortcut on your desktop and then drag the tarket bitmap onto in and then open the result (the file name is c:\temp\d.svg).

AUTOTRACE -corner-threshold 75 -despeckle-level 16 -despeckle-tightness 2 -output-format svg -output-file c:\temp\d.svg -report-progress %1

Here's my contribution. Candelabre is pastel on canvas, Pesto is an AHB oill, and Jars is a chalk.

Thanks, amica999. These were very nice pictures to work with. As for the frames, they're all done from scratch. I've been adding frames to all my work for the past year. It only adds about 10 minutes to my work. To me they give the pictures a more finished look.
