Creative Interpretations-Petunias on bench

I am sooooo ready for a change in the weather. Started looking through last summer's pictures and thought this might be fun to artify.

Re: Creative Interpretations-Petunias on bench

Great photo, Shari. I love park benches. Especially the ones with wrought iron work.

I used auto trace in Illustrator to generate a color swatch palette, then repainted in PS. I used the wand tool to select areas of color and brushed them in.

Re: Creative Interpretations-Petunias on bench

Joe, I really like that. It has an eerie, ghostly feeling, something I would have never thought of doing. Like a scene out of a Victorian novel.
Olbaldy, ditto on the "BenGay." Maybe spring is actually on it's way. Saw the first real sign of spring when I took the dog out. The nightcrawlers were up everywhere in the yard.
Swampy, I like the frame a lot. The park bench was a birthday present. I love it. It weighs a ton though.
Steve, More like a bench full of summer. I never get petunias that full until at least July.
Palms, what kind of texture did you add?
Lyle, I love the bold colors you used. Too bad you can't get real petunias in that color.
Thanks all
Shari

Thanks, Shari! You can download my frame action on my Tutorials Page along with the two layer stiyles that it calls for and instructions for usage. It works on a flattened duplicate of your PSD file so just be sure you don't save it over your original work.
