Creative Interpretations - Portal

I've been having fun with this so I thought I'd share.

Thanks to Palms1 and Swampy

This is a picture approaching the old walled city of Naarden in the Netherlands from the West.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Portal

palms 1 - Oh! That's very nice adaption.

DannyRaphael - the BW really makes the gate look ancient, cool. My trial of Topaz Simplify just ran out = during the month I buzsimmed all kinds of pictures bcs I really liked the look. I'm going to try adjust next.

Thanks for the accolades! BUT, far from Master just lucky on this one!

I did a single image HDR tonemap.. color corrected (the wall was very blue, lessened a bit of yellow and brought out some reds). combined with the original, a small amount of bass relief added on a softlight layer, and finishing it off by darkening the wooden walkway/bridge using a masked multiply layer
