Re: Colorful Habour scene

Just what I needed today. A beautiful photo to paint!

I did a line art sketch then ran Distort>glass and then a Stylize>Diffuse>Anasotropic. Set this to color burn. Used Topaz Simplify, Buzz to really push the colors around, lightened the colors slightly and saved as a pattern. Applied PST over a canvas of white and under the line art layer. Used my watercolor brush at about 30% opacity to paint back color.

Swampy, love your simplified version, looks soft and beautiful. I have posted some more today, so have a look if you are still in paint mood.

Some great works here...
Lyle, wouldn't have thought of a night scene with this one, maybe because I can't wait to see those bright summer days after this loooong time in the dark Nicely processed.

Frate, lovely
Manta, powerful color play

Sylvia, Vitali, glad you like the photo, I don't have any idea where that is, though, my guess would be south France....Like both of your versions very much...

Thanks, amica999. Don't remember exactly how I did it, but I used Impressionist plugin and Photoshop filters.
