Yeah akvis sketch is great for auto sketching, but i'm still hoping to find a good auto painter for portraits and pets

See the list of options under "Natural media/paint effects" here.

I wouldn't include LucisArt in this list; it mainly reveals or smushes detail in an artsy way but doesn't emulate traditional art media.

There's a free starter edition of ArtRage you should try.

Artrage, though fantastic, is not an Autopainter Pix. Occasionally take this gem for a ride to add nuiances though.

Yeah Artrage seems to be good, not sure how long it takes to learn properly?

Some of them are simple to use and some a bit more complex

painter has auto paint options also, it may be a good choice

The GMX photo painter, is that a plug in or standalone programme or both?
I'm currently on my mac, but get my pc next week.
