Re: Something different to artify

I tried a fake smudge just because of the way it affects the trees and did a sepia version to even things out and lighten it a bit.. I like BitG's version (Good Job BitG! ) so I guess I should've added some clouds... but you can do that on your version if you want to...

Trying to be more colourful.....
in PS used hue/sat adjust layers to add colour
then used buzz to simplify and blended ps cloud filter effect.

Total time 20 mins

Re: Something different to artify

What a beautiful old photo. It actually reminds me of a past town which was flooded to form a power-generating lake. It's Lake Wallenpaupack in NE PA and that was done in the 1920's. The mountains around the town provided a deep bowl for a very pretty lake. Anyway...

I just painted on a layer above it, color blend setting and used a sky from one in my archives.

It is cropped it to a standard panoramic size.

There's some really great stuff here! I did a fake smudge too, but went very heavy with it. And then I did a bunch of other stuff too - just playing around.
