Difference between Buzz and Topaz simplify?

I've used topaz simplify in the past but haven't been able to get my Buzz working on my Pc or mac?

Is there much difference between them as far as end result, as I see Buzz seems to be popular on this site.

Re: Difference between Buzz and Topaz simplify?

I don't know about the PC version, but the Mac version should still worked for me (PS CS3) on an Intel Mac, but I had to run Buzz under Rosetta emulation.

Rather than slow down my MacPro and run Rosetta, I just gave up on Buzz. Topaz Simplify does what I need it to do.

The old buZZ products still work fine on PPC Macs, FWIW, while Topaz products are strictly Intel.

I can't see why anyone would miss buZZ, though, with Simplify and its buzzsim preset now available.

Re: Difference between Buzz and Topaz simplify?

I have used Buzz extensively over the rears(see my website www.mdiimaging.com), and find that Topaz yields very similar results--not exactly the same but very close. The advantage is that there are more adjustments available and some increase capability. I have made the shift to the Topaz software. Check out their other software as well--some very usefull features.

I second the opinion that Topaz simplify and Buzz yield very similar results. I didn't run a pixel by pixel comparison, but visually I could not detect much difference.

The Topaz developers have not only given us a replacement for the discontinued buZZ line, they have given us a $50 alternative to a certain $595 plug-in!
