Re: Another Paris Street Scene

Thanks Amica - No I haven't tried making my own preset yet. Looks a bit complicated to me.

Sylvia and Gunner - I agree, sometimes the border effect falls short. It seems to work better with some of the other effects, or you can just do an effect without a border. The program gives you a lot of options.

Still learning.

Re: Another Paris Street Scene

I'll have to have another go at it myself now that I have yet again learned from all of you.

Have a good Memorial Day.

Nice photo. My interpretation used Topaz Simply followed by a custom setting with the Impressionist Plugin.

Re: Another Paris Street Scene

Thought I would give this one a try.

Question...any suggestions on saving your file for upload, I have to reduce the quality setting to low, how do your optimize quality for the 100K file size limit.. Thanks

Peter

Re: Another Paris Street Scene

Swampy have been missing the pst versions

Alan brilliant really like the combination

Steve great colours in your interpretation

PeterI great verison may i ask what you used ?

as for saving use the save for web function on images posted here you wont be far away from being under the 100k unless you use a lot of filters etc then just reduce down as low as you dare ( or resize using the % bit till you get down to size, well that is one of my ways )

Re: Another Paris Street Scene

Hi Palms,

Thanks for the information on file saving, that was pretty much what I did, I did not realize that the filters would add so much to the size of the original file, was shocked to find the file size 5x larger than the original when I went to save it with a quality setting of 10 and had to drop the quality to 3 to make it under 100K, good to know for the future.

I did my version in PS, did a sketch layer for detail, use Buzpro3 to simpifiy and made a Chalk layer in impressionist. Normalized the color with a color cast layer and adjusted the layer blending and the final color in curves. I was inspired by your version, really liked the effect you got on the buildings in the foreground.

Peter
