Here's my try with a DAP rendition.

Nice oil effect Palms. It gave me the idea for an action I haven't used for awhile, a Paint With Texture effect from Mike Finn.

i experimented on this one a bit
made a sketch layer
then used the ahb (trimoons spatter brush (tpl))
at a small size and using small strokes painted in between the lines
and then slightly embossed the image and sharpened

i think it is the one that is described as new art history brush set but download all the brush sets there isnt a bad one there
