Unique Barn

Here is a picture I took on a photo outing a couple of weeks ago. Don't know if it's a barn or a livestock pen with a hay loft above. I thought it very unusual.

Re: Unique Barn

Thought it would make a good sketch.

Re: Unique Barn

Glad you like the sketch Skip. I used Sylvia Lesage DiGeorgio technique from her e - book plus a couple of textures.

Re: Unique Barn

Just some useless trivia for you. The barn is made like that so that hay can be stored above and dropped down into the areas below and cows can actually come eat and not be in the weather.

Re: Unique Barn

Neat old barn. Looks like it was made with hand tools and very well done. Wonder if the feed racks inside are metal bars? Scribbled in a sky, simplified, over saturated everything but the barn. Did not use a paint filter for this one.

Re: Unique Barn

Hope you don't mind a fake HDR instead of a painting.

Nice, love the color pop. Had to do a BW paint effect.

Re: Unique Barn

Nice one Lyle. Have just started playing around with HDR photography. I've been using the trial version of Photomatix. It seems like a great program, but I have a lot to learn.

MA, love those BW effects, good job.

Re: Unique Barn

I have to admit I've never seen a barn quite like this one. I enjoyed playing with it -- here's my sketch version.
