Re: town of Volendam

Lovely pic and some nice renditions here. I went wild with this one a little fractalius, a little Topaz and a little impressionist....

Re: town of Volendam

Thanks Pavel; just the power of the Grain Extract layer property. Used GIMP's Mosaic filter followed by Grain Extract. Enhanced contrast and saturation and that's it.

Nice sketch Lyle, looks really sketchy.

What did you use for that?

Re: town of Volendam

Used a new program called SciImage (open source; used the pencil sketch filter) and fed the output of that into impressionist and blended results in GIMP (SciImage is really not ready for Prime Time, but holds lots of promise).

Re: town of Volendam

Lovely picture, Pavel I visited that place many years ago. Did you go there on your last trip to Europe?
I used some Virtual Painter layer on my first one, and some Impressionist on the second one...

Re: town of Volendam

Great works, all.
Sylvia, yes, that was my last Europe trip. Had a day or so to visit country side.
Nice renditions, your VP variant being my favorite.
Alkar, love your Impressionist work

Love all of these, also learn a lot from all of you here.
I have finally ventured in to FilterForgeLand and am happy with it.
This was done with both Photoshop, FilterForge, and OnOnePhotoTools 2.0,
Overlay Effects>Texture Overlay> Watercolor Paper.
