Some photos to play with!

Hello, guys!

Registered here some time ago but still didn't have any courage to post anything yet. RP helped me a lot! While I'm still a beginner I already learnt much from this forum! thanks to all members for threads and sharing their knowledge!
Here are some photos to play with. They aren't tweaked, just like they are. Don't know if they can be useful for you but I hope so

Greets from Germany,
Jeen

P.S.

sorry, my English isn't perfect

Re: Some photos to play with!

Welcome to RetouchPro, Jeen. Thank you for the play. I made a watercolor from your Venice pic.

Hope you enjoy your time here as much as I do, and - not that it is needed - you don't only improve your photography/postprocessing but also your language skills

Re: Some photos to play with!

I'm really digging this 'pure color' preset in BuzzPro. Here's my interpretation of what Vienna would have looked like through Seraut's eyes.

Thanks for the unretouched pictures!

Re: Some photos to play with!

Thanks for sharing Jeen. Created a seamless texture and use it for the globe map. Used Apophysis to create some of the backdrop along with a Starfield backdrop.

Re: Some photos to play with!

Jeen, depends on the original. Sometimes a plugin works nicely with an image and won't on another. the 2 I did here were done in pure Photoshop, no plugs.

Re: Some photos to play with!

Great work, everyone.

Here's a watercolor and ink.

Lyle, How did you create the seamless texture? Also, I have an Idea for an interesting rendition of the same picture. I am going to try to create a seamless texture of the same pic but would like to use yours if mine doesn't turn out.

Re: Some photos to play with!

Thanks for all the comments. To Gerry and to all. Any image that I render I share for all to use in whatever way they feel fit to do so (just don't claim you got it from me if your result is bad; lol). As far as creating seamless textures, GIMP has several cool plugins and built in features that help create them. I did use Make Seamless but had to do a few other things to reduce ghosting (those steps a little convoluted so my laziness prevents me from sharing; lol). I've done better (other textures done of course) but the result is as is. Hope to see what you will do with it Gerry.

Re: Some photos to play with!

Thanks, Lyle. I have GIMP installed on my Mac but I've never had any luck using it. Is there a book or a site I could go to to find out how to use it?

Here's my picture of the flowers, based on the seamless texture created by Lyle. This was done with CS4 Extended.

Re: Some photos to play with!

That's cool Gerry. Mac is a tough one to crack. The only help forum that I know of that is Mac specific is the Darwin project.

Re: Some photos to play with!

Maybe we should consider a forum that let's us start with an original and as it is completed and submitted another person picks it up and tweaks it then moves it back for the next person.

Re: Some photos to play with!

Gave the flowers some etchings and faded the borders a little.
Gave the buildings a colorful sky, building smoothing, color correction.
Made a pano with heat shimmer sky.
HDR enhancement on the harbor & buildings and painted the sky.

Re: Some photos to play with!

Just threw my kitchen sink technique (i.e., don't ask; probably couldn't come up with the exact result anyway; lol) for this dtn interpretation.
