Re: Creative Interpretations - Prom Fashion Nast, I really like how those strokes look like sunbeams. I would have pulled it on top of the original and erased away to get just a bit of detail on here face. But those sunstrokes look great.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Prom Fashion I was in CMYK color space, chose the yellow channel and then gave it a motion blur at an angle. Yeah, I tried to bring back the detail in the face but it was beyond my ability.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Prom Fashion Nast, At this point the easiest way would be to correct the original to your color specs and drag and drop it into your painted image, underneath the painted layer. Using a soft eraser at your choice of strength just erase away what you want detail back in. c

Re: Creative Interpretations - Prom Fashion Thanks! Erasing the whole face didn't work bcs of the color changes but an inverted copy of the blue channel with just the face showing through a mask did the trick. I just read that and it doesn't make any sense. I went to the channel palette; I Crtl+clicked the blue channel I used that selection to make a mask on the painting layer (the original was underneath) I inverted the mask and painted everything black except the face and necklace.
