Re: Creative Interpretations - Ascet

Thanks. A little convoluted to explain, but I'll try. I created a fill layer with a slightly darker color then the brightest one. I create a mask for that layer using the image itself with a copy of original underneath the now masked fill layer. I then duplcate the original and run ACE on the new center layer and adjust opacity to taste. I flatten, desaturate, and stretch the contrast.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Ascet

all unique versions. My preference on this is a warmer tone and/or darker toned, as most of you confirmed.
OB, you have nicely tickled out details
Sylvia, it's light and soft, looks good
Lyle, I really like that
Chris, dark and soft, lovely

Dan, interesting crop and soft "old" look
Steve, another nice one, can I detect a hint of fractalius in there?

No, not this time. It's DAP with a preset I came up with. Then a bit of painting in Paint Shop Pro to finish.

Thanks, Amica999. Sometimes I can't think of what to do specifically so I start playing around until I find something that looks good.
