Actually, a combination of both might give pretty good results

Thanks Sweetlight, but if I'd realised there was cake involved I would have tried even harder, when can I expect the cake and what type, not carrot cake though.

Re: Christophe

Dan, That is really, really cool. My only issue is that big, dark flower petal. The little yellow on is awesome though.
Peter, I am a man of many talents who loves to cook. You name the flavor and it's yours but I bet the shipping from here to there is a bear. You might want to ask for "crumb cake" 'cause it's gonna be anyways.
Syliva, One more thing I always forget so Palms will have to keep me in line here too. I always forget that you and a lot of others do not speak English as a first language so the translation of my humor through your language and back into English is not a good thing. Especially when I am the only one who thinks I am funny most of the time anyways, haha. Quick but true story. My best friend is from Argentina. His family after 23 years has become as close to me as my real family. His father, a doctor speaks very broken English. One day he was trying to tell Jeff and I not to "look a gift horse in the mouth" an American term I'll explain if your not familiar. After translating it to Spanish and back to English he said to us, "Don't look at a horses teeth." Now that is funny. We laugh about that to this day.

Oh I know! Lots of times people say things and laugh, and I just don't get the joke, because it often refers to something that only native English people would know about. Or I translate some French expression into English and it doesn't make sense for the others...
I did understand that you were joking on that one, proof is my response to you

As for painting this photo of Christophe, you're right, Dan, it's pretty tough.

Below is the original, taken two years ago in Arromanches (Normandy). What you see behind him is the remains of the artificial port built by the Allies to land on the D-Day (June 6, 1944).

Re: Christophe

Sylvia, That is a pretty strong image full frame. Especially when life experience and travel is concerned. Not many people can say they stood on that beach. But.....a lot of people wish they had not.
