For this version I simplified, colored like old photo and than used Impression for a paint effect.

Thank you svtdude, all done with PS, and mainly smudge brush work.

To everybody else, sorry it's taken a while to reply to this one but my day job keeps getting in the way, long hours, early starts, late finishes etc. Nice stuff from all, glad you liked the challenge.
