Re: Tree peony

Great image, Palms. Thanks for sharing.

My attempt using Fotosketcher and DAP's new v2 Aquarell template. Layered in PSP with some selective erasing.

@ Grant & Peter. Wow! Both excellent paints. Obviously I have a good way to go yet. <smile>

Collagraph print.

Added some intaglio relief (bumpmapping) to get a Collagraph print effect.

Re: Tree peony

Nice colors. Heavily painted, ran through Impression and brought in the corners a bit.

Re: Tree peony

Wow oh wow great versions from everyone

Grant love the colours and the texture

Peter again the colours and the background are super

ghealy you have managed a lovely softness there and you dont have that far to go

Lyle again nice softness and colours embossing (bump mapping)really adds to it

John brighter colours and the vignetting works well

Re: Tree peony

palms1-Wow! This is a gorgeous picture to play with.
Messing around with Tracey&Harold's actions/presets

And then adding some texture by putting the texture on a layer on top, turning off the visibility. Selecting highlights (^+alt+~) and using that selection to mask off the texture (make it so the texture shows through the highlights). If that makes any sense. In the 1st version I created a high pass layer and played with the blending mode.

Re: Tree peony

Here's some tips on how to recover highlights (which Tracey&Harold's stuff tend to blow out)

Re: Tree peony

Thanks for sharing, Palms...
Really lovely renditions by everyone.
I started with Fractalius and liked the result as is, so I stopped.

Second is some sort of watercolor...

Re: Tree peony

Amazing to see so many *fresh* visions. Beautiful image Palms, and thanks.

Nothing new here. First, desat, with selective color in mind. After applying denoise then went to pull out the yellow and then yes/no on the green. cropped and gave a, http://www.brushking.eu/Category/Bor...x-Brushes.html, frame.
