| | | I'm so happy to see so much interest in mirroring and kaleidoscoping. I spend a lot of time making these images, and they are so much fun, and the results are often better than the original. Here are some of my early ones. The last one suggests "Creation" to me.
I used to have an entire gallery online of fractals and mirrored images.

| | | CJ, coming from you, your comments mean a lot. The stuff put come up with is so well done.
Amy, very, very nice. I love old looking jewelry. Both 2 and 3 suggest that to me. I'd be proud to wear either. What were the original images?

| | | The first image was a grapevine, the second a car grille, and the third yellow rubber gloves.
Thanks

| | | OK Janet; I'll byte. Wow; surprised this thread stopped at 2005. Anyway, I started with Apophis (needed a graphic or picture, so just decided to generate one this time). I then ran Mehdi's Kaleidoscope filter and then small tiled it. Simple. |

| | | Re: kaleidoscope Gorgeous!! This is a sample of why we fell in love with the Kaleidoscopes in 2002. Wonderful -- would make a fantastic wall hanging/rug/window art! |

| | | Re: kaleidoscope i like that, lk. great detail in there.
kaleidoscopes filters, plugins and programs have come a long ways. some of things folks were doing by hand work and combinations of things can be done in one or two steps now.
here's a rose i ran through a filter forge filter that uses a kaleidoscope with a 'stone's component and a few other things. |

| | | Re: kaleidoscope thanks, lk.
the fascinating thing is, you can move one slider in a kaleidoscope filter and get a totally new look. load a different image and get another new look. quite fun |

| | | Re: kaleidoscope I'm glad this thread was revived. It is one of my favorite. I like seeing all of the creative patterns.
Lyle, your last entry looks as if it could be an exotic tile in the middle east.
Craig, I'd love to see the black and white one in color, maybe neons. Wouldn't that be wild?
This one is a study in curves. I liked the bold, funky colors. Enjoy.
