Amica- your multicolored flower is a Bird of Paradise.
They are one of the most bizarre flowers I have ever seen. They always look surreal to me, even in person.

Other than the basics like roses and tulips I am pretty clueless too.
Except for this one, it's sort of hard to forget.

Nice photo, thanks for sharing.

I used Snap art to scramble the image a bit, then I smudged using a three dot brush with slight jitter, finally painting on the image with the standard brush (flow/opacity pen pressure) to clean up the edges/fine tune the composition.
