Re: Flowers anyone?

Thanks for sharing, beautiful flowers. I did the same for both images. Removed low level noise, enhanced details, made a focal point and finished up with Impressionist for a paint effect. Of the two I like how the red flower came out.

Very creative, Jack, and I do like it...and you are completely right...don't do paintings...never ever..they are so addictive...

Re: Flowers anyone?

Thank you! I'm trying to starting to look for hints of color and paint them onto another layer. My layers got a little out of hand though - think there were 18 before I flattened it!

Re: Flowers anyone?

Oops, Lyle, do I seem to be so violent? Now why should I even think of slapping you? your first is - unusual - but it would surprise me if it weren't, it now looks so "knotty", must admit though that I like your second one better, love how you treated the leaves..

Nice soft watercolor, OB, like that on these soft filigran flowers.

Re: Flowers anyone?

Really nice flowers amica999, I picked this one for a try.

1.Assign color profile, sRGB color space for the web.
2. Removed noise. This removed the minor detail.
3.Applied four dups in darken mode each one pixel off in the four directions. This is what brought out the lines and detail.
4.Made a focal point left center to the flower.
5.Painted using PaintEngine.

Thank you, John, what did you use? Looks a little like Snap Art..I like how you preserved the highlights, especially in the leaves.
