Used a hair brush, of course and then Eye Candy 5 Textures, tiny swirls. Did a mask and then brought back the eye, nose and ear a bit.

Gunner, that sure is different, love the curly outcome
Lyle, that looks great, the greyc and topaz have quite similar effects
Grant, you are welcome and I believe you don't need more practice, lovely result I did mine with the Linda hair brush and added some topaz detail just to bring some structure back.

One more time. A little tweaking of color/shadow-highlight. Then sharpen and anisotropic. Followed by more tweaking er something like that.

Thanks Amica the brush i used was not a Hair brush (very rare i do use a hair brush ) but rough round bristles
