Mystery Flower

I know, I know, another flower.
This is another zoo photo. I have no idea what kind of flower it is.
But I thought it was pretty, and a pretty good photo.
Enjoy

Re: Mystery Flower

Nice job with the photo, great image. I texture blended the background, B/W the flower and finished up by using Imprerssionists.

Re: Mystery Flower

Lynn- nice waxy look
Palms- great fractilicius version, and your 2nd one is both strange and lovely
thanks for the name of the flower too, I knew I could count on you
Lyle- yours makes me dizzy, but I like it
Amica- love the transparent look as its coming out of the misty background
Fran- yours makes me think of a colored pencil look
John- LOVE the way you did your background, very cool!

I finally got around to playing with this and ended up with 2 along the way.

The first is a smudge. Click HERE for a larger version.
The second is just filter play. Click HERE for a larger version.

Re: Mystery Flower

This came out differently than it began...sort of let the muse lead me. After a hardlight blend mode it resembled a textile print, which was reversed in difference mode. I saw an Asian touch in the dalhia, so arranged it as a greeting card. do you think? My logo is in a square format, so used it as a chop mark.

Greetings!

My offering, such as it is was done in PS using anisotropic diffusion, sharpening, highlight and shadow tweaking, then using Topaz Simplify quote a bit.
