Re: The Gondolier

Grant, love the pic. On our last trip to Venice our gondolier was in the fowlest of moods... he was trying to race a storm to get him back before the sky opened up. Forget romance...it reminded us of riding in bumper cars.

First is a toss salad of effects, topaz simp, find edges, cybia screenworks with selective color, various blend modes.
#2 is Impressionist.

BTW, did anyone besides me think the gondolier was Tony Soprano moonlighting?

Hi All!

This is my attempt. I adjusted image, ran through Simplfy2, and Impressionist-Sketch.

Thanks for looking,

Joe

Re: The Gondolier

Had another try. This time using PE and then Impressionist. Added a new sky.

Re: The Gondolier

cool! What a great picture with a terrific number of really different edits. OlBaldy-that texture is fabulous

I'm still playing with pixel bender. This is the oil painting setting.

First I fixed the shadow on his face then pumped up the colors. I also really like making a vignette with a radial gradient style
