Shelly

A post to prove to Palms that I don't just paint ladies.
Though it may be a lady snail, I was too much of a gentleman to look.
This one from Fontplay.com as well.

OK; just the shell this time. This is a Quadtree Photo-mosaic. Used shells from the Free Photo Index for the database by the way.

Re: Shelly

I have to agree with Palms, (though it grieves me), I didn't expect this result, I expected wheels added plus some go faster stripes, such imagination - love it.
keep them coming please.

Re: Shelly

Sorry; had so much fun that I've not commented on all the cool versions. Really like the fractilus (got to get that plugin; maybe they might offer it one dat at the Give-a-Way of the Day site; lol) interpretations from both Grant and Palms. John's red glossy version is a keeper too. Very nice background change too Vera. OB's abstraction's cool too.

Re: Shelly

Hi Palms,

I used DA Painter, Benson, to get a color detailed base layer. then two Sketch layers. One for the fine detail and another of the original image simplfied with Topaz and then filtered with poster edge to get the thicker lines. both blended with multiply. a Curves adjustment layer on the color layer to get the aqua background and masked out most of the shell but left the edges to blend into the background.

Thanks for asking, BTW I always have enjoyed you work.

Peter
