No, not Photosketcher. I simplified the image first by applying a false interlace to it. Then merged the original image several times to recolor the lines. This gives a tone blending to the horizontal lines in shades of the original image. The brush effects were done in Impressionist using the, Old Master, preset that has been slightly modified. Brush strokes, yes a never ending challenge so it seems. One of the things that irks me the most is that the simple filters blur the image to much. I have seen some really nice effects here at RP though, so know that it can be done.

Re: two strangers on bikes

Nasturtium, I am using Belousov's Edgecrement plugin for that effect which I apply after applying some smoothing

You can get it here, it's free so there is no reason not to have it :

Re: two strangers on bikes

Btw, I have made another version using the precedent ones as a start and this time using Mehdi's excellent fine threshold plugin.

Re: two strangers on bikes

Hi, what's the problem with Edgecrement? It is not a difficult filter is it or am I missing something?

Glad you like the pics I made btw
