Feather

A simple project to artify... a feather!

Good Luck and happy painting/smudging/sketching

Original found at imageafter

My version is a combo of Snap Art, FotoSketcher, and Dynamic Auto-Painter (DAP)

Re: Feather

Like what you did Nancy. It inspired met to create a single feather AOP and then I glued some feathers on the feather.

lol; used Elmers.

No, the image used was the basis of my current Avatar that I also use at FredMiranda's site. Normally, I use this as my Avatar.

Re: Feather

I hope I get some time later to have a go at this feather, but....It is such a simple image, yet, extremely complex. Palms, the white on black was stunning, same as the paradox of something simple/complex.
OlB, quite a nice O'Keeffe-ish rendition. Nasturtium, when you, "went into a trance", you were in the zone. Great place to be...I love getting lost in the moment while doing something that pleases me.
Lyle... that single "host" feather was...creepy. I don't know how else to describe it. And, please forgive my ignorance but what does AOP mean? Wikipedia confused me even more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AOP...I do not mean to slight your creativeness by any stretch...however you did it, what ever it is, you did it very well!

Re: Feather

Arcimbolder Object Back Vera. Before DAP became what it is, Roman created Arcimbolder; was going to open source it, but couldn't find any takers, so he did the prudent thing (sold it) and hope he gets rich since DAP is a pretty cool tool.

Re: Feather

For those interested, I posted the AOP file (updated; didn't like my original) at the DAP forum. Also, thanks for all the cool comments.

Re: Feather

Hmmm. The feather went through many transformations and I still wasn't satisfied. So, started manipulated each & every way. Finally, used the warp tool, one glance - a dolphin! Or porpoise...
On a separate layer painted in some quick strokes, added a texture layer, gradient background, a fish eye, and...Flipper!
I know, kind of dorky, but, I've been in a weird mood lately.

Re: Feather

Nancy, I like that a lot ! Your persistent Patience paid Off!

Lyle, A molting, mottled feather, WOW, who would of thunk it!.... Lyle Would!!
With the other picture (the self portrait) I can see your resemblance painted on a huge wall where a lot of pedestrians walk by wondering at all the feathers... that is, until they get at the proper distance and see your image pop out of the jumble of feathers.. Very clever use of a one image AOP.. (Ain't DAP Fun?!!)

John, Pop-Art Parfection!

Veronica, Fantastic fishy from you! Very creative!
