Re: Horse

two edits. one smooth (lots of noise reduction) and one with Jerry Jone's Texture of the Day #125

terrific starter image. Horses are such magnificent beasties

Re: Horse

Lyle the crayon gives a interesting and different look

Peter nice painting but i dont think your description is quite right ! ! !

Ol Baldy the tail fix is good and the addition very cute but not helping Peter's addiction much

Grant nice work the framing really finishes it off well

John nice change of background with some great colours in it

Nasturtium two super versions I like the texture but the smooth one is my fav

Re: Horse

I didn't fix the tail nearly as well as OlBaldy. Will have to work on that. And looks like I may have to work on the mane as well. Did add some to the forelock which looks ok.

I'm still learning!

Other than that, I used a color sketch and a light brush.

Re: Horse

It's not secret that I've been on an Organic Labyrinth binge of late. Getting very close to achieve what I want with it. First I create the granite template (see attached) and then commenced to texturing for the result. Grabbed some people from Stock Exchange (http://www.sxc.hu/photo/1159559) to give the render more perspective.

Click link below for complete rendition; attached is a crop.

Re: Horse

Here is my try on this beautiful horse following mainly Piker Tuts on watercolor plus some tweaking little things like D&B and Some additional textures. Thank you. Also first time I tried adding a signature to my paintings.

Re: Horse

OK; felt I needed to treat this horse right by doing a filter simulated watercolor (many G'MIC presets and a blending of Paint Enging (default) to break up the aliasing. Also added a blending of Xero's Iridium set to color and blured and did a few other layer property blends. No smudging/ painting or anything else but filters and layer properties and a few selective erasethroughs (actually didn't have to out of hindsite, but I did, so I did not want to lie about that). Look real or not?
