Creative interpretations: Patio furniture

I thought this might be something new and different to try... Not a person, animal, or flower...

Have fun!

Re: Creative interpretations: Patio furniture

A little fiddling with the photo (color, levels, artifact removal, etc) then a couple passes with Snap Art Impasto One with big brush and one with small brush)
All the above on different masked layers then combined and sharpened

Very nice interpretations OB and LK. You're on top of your game as usual.

Mine: After racheting up the saturation a bit, this one is the result of multiple passes of Akvis ArtWork on separate layers and with a few layers rendered by the Impressionist plugin. I used Layer Masks to reveal "the best" of each layer.

One end of your patio seems to have gotten flooded.

Re: Creative interpretations: Patio furniture

Who'd of thought some patio furniture left in the rain could be the source for such eyecatching artwork? Whew, you folks never cease to amaze!

I tried something new - for me - and that was a tutorial by Corey Barker, http://www.planetphotoshop.com/rain-drops.html to add rain to a wet already environment. I didn't do as well as I hoped but I do intend to try this technique as ofter as I can until I do. Under all the rain are three layers, including Impressionist & Topaz Adjust.

Unlike other areas in the U.S. that have had BOATLOADS of snow this winter, or snow for the first time in many, many years, it has been an unseasonably warm and mild winter where I live (about 175 miles southeast of Vancouver, Canada). Go figure...

This time of year it is typically overcast and rainy here. Attached is a pic I shot a couple weeks ago. Notice the "non-rainy" scene and fairly clear sky. Very unusual for early February.

For the past three days it's been sunny with cloudless, blue skies; the forecast is the same for the next four days.
