Here is a photo of my grandaughter that I changed to the watercolor look. I took out the messy garage background and used a combination of DAP and Photoshop's watercolor filter.

I would love to see you use this photo to create some other artistic effects.

Lyle, you are so right about that! Hey, I love the background you used on this. What painting method did you use?

Used Amphisoft's Simplifier to start things off. I then fed that result into a GIMP plugin called G'MIC and used PhotoComix's Smoothing preset for the Aniso effect. Glad you like the result Dak.

Love that big happy smile. Simplified, changed background and finished up using Impressionist.

Now I deleted photo attachment in my old thread after I finished to put cutout girl into new background. I add new photo attachment.

I had a lot of enjoyment doing this. While surfing one day, came across this cartoon tut that I'd been anxious to try. http://tinyurl.com/32nxyc I think the effect is rather child-like...I like it.
Anyway, it seemed appropriate.

Dak, she looks like a lovely granddaughter. I bet she's a lot of fun to be with!
