Help - Skin painting in Painter

Guys
I tried painting skin for the first time in Painter and seems everything went south. Looks like the girl's got some skin disease after my painting.

Could you please help me identify what I've done wrong and how can this be corrected?

I was using Acrylics - Captured Bristle. Opacity - 40%. Resat 18%, Bleed 38%

Don't know if the brush size matter or not since I have cropped the attached image but it was around half an inch at 100% zoom.

Try using one of the blender brushes to smooth out the skin.

If you want to use that brush use:
5 % opacity
17% resat
9 % bleed

Do this on a new layer, so you can back off if you need to.

Hello ISeek. Why you are not using Photoshop? It has everything for the photo edition. It´s the nr 1 program in the world in the brand and considered as a standard as a photo editor. Easy make a layer for each colour and choose a fusion mode as "colour", "soft light" etc, oscillate the transparency as your choice and that´s all. No headache.

If you´d take a short time and download the 3 files from the server you´ll see all this lyers and fusions in the native .psd files.

Thanks Cupcake. Tried your settings and it did help a lot. Will try to be more cautious from next time when I am painting skin.

I use Photoshop almost everyday. But I wasn't coloring the skin. I was giving it a painterly effect. Huge difference.
