Re: magnolia

Very nice Palms - Ours haven't started to bud yet. Here is a watercolor go with a colorful Spring look maybe.

Re: magnolia

Very nice Palms. thanks for the play. The buds, I used PaintEngine on the background and Impressionist on the flowers. The tree was just enhanced and simplified.

Re: magnolia

Isolated a bud. Simplified the background and played with lighting. I'm intrigued with duotones ATM so messed with the color balance and then drew some very pale gradients (color to transparent) on 3 new layers and set those layers to various blending modes.

Re: magnolia

Wow! The magnolia was very beautiful. I love it.

First picture - cropped & select bud flower and new background.
Second picture - cutout filter background and focus tree only.

Thank you

Re: magnolia

Trying out a new binge. lol

Did a few of these borderline abstract watercolors already. Is it officially a binge; maybe.

Apologies for loosing some of the paper texture due to compression.

Re: magnolia

What the hey; learned a lot in the past few weeks and this is a result. Maybe a tad too abstract for most, but Palms still won't contribute to my Psychologist/Psychiatrist fund, so you just have to tolerate it. lol
