Re: pink posies for painting

I'm intrigued by this idea of the subject emerging from the background.

Re: pink posies for painting

Interesting effect Nasturtium, thanks for the play. I put a field of flowers in the background and then muted them. Enhanced and simplified the foreground flowers. For the second one, a background with some depth. The third was finished in Impressionist using the smudge preset.

Well right now they appear to have gone half way round the world and back.

Everything but the kitchen sink for my effort.
Then some cutout play.

Re: pink posies for painting

...I'm just lovin' looking at these pink posie variations!
- Peter, your second one could earn you some $$$ from Hallmark.
- John, you painted some magic with the wonderful, joyful blue sky. Very striking.
- Lyle, there's a city I visited in Italy, Ravenna. I keep thinking you might have been an artisan there in a past life. http://www.sira.it/mosaic/gallery1.htm. Ravenna is the mosaic capital of the world.
- Nasturtium, you must be one of the sweetest flowers in the world. Thanks for your work.
**************
- OlB, you snuck that beauty in as I was composing my post. Love the oval format.
