Cute pup Amica. Went watercolor (minus the acid; lol). Attached is an extremely compressed hirez result. Click below for much better quality (same rez).

Re: A challenge for you to play with

Thank you for playing.

Lynn, nice
John, your version made me smile :-)
OB, nice, good choice of background and removing that "demon eye" (have to have a look at that Photosketcher, forgot again)
Lyle, that pup is about six years old and simply won't look into the cam :-) Nice play btw

Re: A challenge for you to play with

Thanks Amica. It's G'MIC's Comic preset again. I'm working on a process that involves stippling (used solid white layer set to 90% on top of original merged down and ran India Ink to get the b/w dither, then widened the spots) feeding that result into Comic preset to get the strokes. Then blending that result back into the original. Makes for more realistic watercolor strokes imo (or is it just me? lol).

Re: A challenge for you to play with

What's pooch's name?

Such a cutie pie! I think it's amazing what everyone's come up with, and such refined styles! Me, I was stumped. The first version is from a tut on creating really old looking pix. What a disaster...but, still a learning experience (yeah, like I learned not to do this technique again). And the second is a little Topaz Simp with an overlay of a pencil sketch, eyes, nose & paws masked to orig.

Re: A challenge for you to play with

Like the aged photo Veronica, but I'm sure the pup likes the change in venue.

Anyway, for a second shot, I went sketch.
