Re: Old shack

I will say this again; you still can't beat a hand painted rendition; fantastic results Grant (but I'm a filter guy, and will stick with my genre; lol). Maybe one day, I'll pick up a Wacom (more then likely a Bamboo; lol) and enhance my dexterity and start painting myself. lol

Re: Old shack

Very neat photos to work with.

Lyle, don't apologize for being a filter guy. You do some pretty creative things with those filters. I always wonder what you're going to come up with.

Re: Old shack

Thanks's Fran. Since I'm still on that TK/fake HDR look binge, thought I would try the technique on this image. too (attached is a lower quality crop).

Re: Old shack

Cool; think I finally figured lucis (Wyeth) out using a few Xero filters and some GIMPy layer tricks. What do you all think? Much cheaper solution too (free filters and Open Source OS), but still takes a little extra steps for some additional nuances and due to that, I'm not willing to share the flow yet (have to keep some secrets to myself; i.e., way too lazy to outline now; lol).
