New World

Okay so I was a little bored today.
Made from scratch, it kept me going.
Though I couldn't get the cloud formations.
What can anybody else do?

Peter

Re: New World

scratch? How did you get the continents right?

The sphere 3D effect and sphere style work great on just about any layer in CS5. Makes a great bowling ball out of a fractal image

clouds (obsidiandawn) and stars (sunira) are brushes

render clouds, radial blur, transform warp, rainbow gradient...fun stuff

Nancy the continents were the easy bit, new layer "render clouds" then use "Threshold" and adjust to what you like, then do the distort bit.
Also used "Render clouds" as a depth/height map?? for the continents.
Nice one there.

I'll check out the cloud brushes, but need to check out what they really look like from space as well.

Sylvia yes the hand is coming on quite well though still feels quite tight where the stitches where, still looks quite red though.
