Re: Predictable flower

Very nice Sunflower pic. Tried a couple of different ideas. First is Mike Finn's Paint with Texture Photoshop action and the second is a watercolor.

Re: Predictable flower

Nice one Grant you seem have got the handle on impressionist ( i still struggle but have a mess with it once in a blue moon lol )

Skip, Mikes actions are great arent they ? your watercolour wins it for me though

Thanks Sylvia a mixture of fractalius and the cut out filter, finished with a texture ( if i remember right )

Shari super rendition and very yellow

thanks all

I love sunflowers! Here's my attempt after I fussed with it in Corel Photo-paint, the Gimp and FotoSketcher.

Re: Predictable flower

What the hey; had to extract the sunflower to make the droste, so decided to repackage that effort into this seamless texture too.

Re: Predictable flower

great ones Janet and Craig, the sunflowers have almost finished now so the seed heads will be saved for the birds in winter

And if it wasn't for all the rain we are having there would be some new flower shots lol

Re: Predictable flower

Thanks Tennie. Mathmap is a GIMP plugin, but they also ported it for MACs via the Cocoa project (know very little about the Cocoa project since I'm a PC guy).
