Thanks for your flow Palms; very cool renditions so far. Couldn't decide what to do, but finally settled on a etched type illustration. A blend of Amphisoft's Xylograph, Flaming Pear's India Ink, and FotoSketcher's Pen and Ink preset. A paper texture blend at the end.

more great work Alex but the colours on the first one win it for me

Ol Baldy is the second one a "carry on" from the first ? both are great, and boy was i confused reading the rest of your post first thing this morning

nice one Lyle has the look of a newspaper photo to it

Yeppers, the first on is after some tweaks and cleaning trying to bring out some details in preparation to artifying.. I thought it looked different enough to post but seeing as this is the 'Photo-Based-Art' Forum I took it a step more and added some Fractalius and Snap Art

Palms I don't know how you do it, but with only one word, you managed to confuse everybody.
You even get OB to use long words to confuse matters even more.
Never mind though, I love the sketch stuff that's been done here.
