Re: Girls

After adjusting the colors in ACR I ran a few copies through different filter forge filters. I loaded these into a PS stack and played with the layer blending modes and opacities - also used a few channel/luminosity masks

Re: Girls

I can only say that I wish I could have been the photographer of this shot. It is pure delight.
I tried a bit of AHB watercolor, added some film grain for softening then an overall texture.

If someone could advise, I'd sure like some guidance in softening the edges of the brushes. I mean, all around this image, the faces are so sharp at the edges it looks almost cut out to me. Thanks.

I think your version looks great as it is!

Maybe add a couple inches more white border... New layer, Box to sample all layers checked, Smudge tool all around, Blur and/or lower opacity on the new layer, add back grain and texture to match ? Just a thought

Re: Girls

...and a mighty good one, O.B. I think I'll try the smudge and the blur combined. Thanks.

I prefer the 2 girls one, more feeling in it.
